Support
Email us at trandinhthang99.hy@gmail.com with your phone model, Android version and a short description of the problem.
Does Hanzily work offline?
Yes. The dictionary, stroke order, flashcards and lessons work without internet. An internet connection is needed once to download ML Kit models (handwriting, Chinese text recognition, translation) the first time you use those features, and for ads and purchases.
Handwriting, camera or translation does not work
Connect to the internet once so the model can download, and check you have free storage. For the camera reader, allow the Camera permission and use good light with the text in focus.
Which languages are supported?
Meanings and lessons are in English for now. Support for more languages is planned. Where machine translation is offered, it is labelled as such.
Pronunciation sounds wrong or missing
Hanzily uses your device's text-to-speech engine. In Android settings, install or update a Chinese (Mandarin) voice in the text-to-speech engine, then try again.
Speak-and-check does not recognise me
Allow the Microphone permission. These features use Android's speech recognition service, which may need internet and may be provided by Google. You can skip them and still use the rest of the app.
Are the mock exams official HSK?
No. They are unofficial practice material and score estimates are only a guide.
Reminders do not arrive
Allow notifications for Hanzily, and on phones with aggressive battery saving (Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, Huawei and others) set Hanzily to unrestricted battery use.
Backup and moving to a new phone
Create a backup file in the app and save it where you like; on the new phone, restore from that file. We do not hold your data.
Premium, restore and cancel
- Restore: Settings → Restore purchases (same Google account).
- Cancel: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Hanzily. Lifetime is a one-time purchase.
