HanzilyTerms of Use
These terms apply to your use of Hanzily, an Android app published by TNPixel ("we", "us"). By installing or using Hanzily you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.
Safety
- Do not use your phone while driving or when it is unsafe. Do not use the camera reader or any tool while walking in traffic, driving or cycling. Keep your attention on your surroundings.
- When using audio and the microphone, use a volume and a place where you can still hear what is around you.
Learning content and estimates
Hanzily is a study aid. Dictionary entries come from community sources and may contain errors; pinyin, word segmentation and sentence pinyin are generated automatically and may be wrong. Machine-translated text, when shown, is labelled and may be inaccurate. Practice and mock exams are not official HSK exams and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Hanban, CTI or any HSK authority. Level assessments, score and readiness estimates are only a guide and do not predict real exam results. Do not rely on Hanzily for legal, medical or other critical translations.
Your data and content
Your cards, progress and notes are stored on your device. You are responsible for backing them up (Hanzily offers an optional backup file that you save yourself). Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them from the phone. We are not responsible for data lost through device loss, uninstall or failures. Do not share content that you do not have the right to share.
Premium and subscriptions
Free users see ads. Premium (monthly, 3 months, 6 months, yearly or lifetime) removes ads and unlocks extra features. Payment is charged to your Google account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions. Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Refunds follow Google Play's terms. Prices may vary by country and can change for future purchases.
Acceptable use
Do not copy, reverse engineer or resell the app, do not use it unlawfully, and do not interfere with its operation or with the services it relies on. The dictionary data is licensed separately: see Data & licences, where you may also download our converted dictionary database under CC BY-SA 4.0. These terms do not restrict your rights under those open licences.
No warranty and limit of liability
Hanzily is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Hanzily, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be noted in the app or on its Google Play page. Continued use means you accept the updated terms. You can stop using Hanzily at any time by uninstalling it.
